Walking the trail:

  • Summary: A short walk along the south coast of Dorset for breathtaking views of some unique coastal rock formations.

I recently dusted of the SLR and drone and headed out to this rather cool part of the south coast in Dorset that i had seen on Instagram, Old Harry Rocks. A series of chalk formations and stacks located near the village of Studland which lies between Bournemouth and Swanage.

The South West Coastal Path also passes the rocks. I deliberately visited in the late hours of the afternoon to catch sunset and what a perfect afternoon/evening it was! The rocks are just a short 1 mile walk from Studland. (where there is parking and a few pubs, postcode BH19 3AU)

Im always amazed when i find places like this. Its literally 2 hours from where i live and its the first time ive visited.

No matter how bored you think you are with your local scenery, there is always something exciting to discover!
